Welcome to The Upside of Getting Older!

(We're all getting there so let's just enjoy it!)

Ok, there is NO getting around it, we ARE getting older, like it or not, so we might as well make the best of it! There really can be an Upside to this process. For most of us, the Nest is Empty and we are "On Our Own", so let's start doing some of those things we talked about doing "When" (the kids are grown and on their own!) I'm sure you can think of some things. :)

Why not come and meet up with some others who are starting to enjoy this time of life? Check out the Message board, only takes a minute to register and there are different topics to post in..... are you a Caregiver? Need a little support of your own? How about some discussions on "Marriage After the Kids Leave Home"? Or maybe "The Nest has Emptied, now what" is more what  you're looking for? These are just some of the topics to choose from and if you have a suggestion for one, just post it!

You can also check out the Upside of Getting Older Picture Gallery and while you're checking it out and seeing some of the fun stuff others are doing, why not send in one of your own doing something fun or exciting? Even pictures of you and your grandchildren.

And let's not forget The List!! Read some funny 'One Liners' and other comments on aging and feel free to send in one of your own, we'll keep the List growing. We also have some interesting "Stories" to read and again, feel free to send in one of your own.

For those of you who have Pets, you might want to check out "Our Empty Nest Pets" a new website especially for our Pets (and us too!)  A Pet Picture Gallery is available for viewing and you can send in one of your own! Also don't miss the Our Empty Nest Pets Message Board, only takes a minute or two to register and you can meet other Pet enthusiasts like yourself.
